Katy Rutkovski
In less than two years Katy Rutkovski has become Russia’s No 1 female trance/progressive DJ. She has reached no 11 and no 34 respectively in the two most significant Russian DJ listing charts and is rapidly gaining an army of loyal fans throughout Russia and beyond.
This meteoric rise can be attributed to her unique style incorporating a high level of technical ability, excellent tune choices and her infectious and charismatic stage presence.
She has performed with some of the world’s biggest DJ’s including Sander Van Doorn, Aly and Fila , Darren Tate, Ronski Speed, Thrillseekers and Ashley Wallbridge to name just a few and her hectic live schedule is backed up by her bi weekly radio show “After Dream” which is transmitted throughout Russia and the rest of the world on stations including Discover Trance.
As a classically trained violinist and pianist, music production has always been high on Katy’s agenda and in 2010 she created her first demo recordings that merged her classical training with her in depth knowledge of dance music to devastating effect.
Her first track “Polar Lights” was snapped up by Matt Hardwick’s “Kill the Lights” label and she has now signed an exclusive deal with the powerhouse label group “Recoverworld” for a series of singles to be released from early 2011.
